Unexpected Alt-PHP Issue Notice

  • 11 April 2019

The CloudLinux team has announced a notice related to an unexpected issue found in the recent Alt-PHP update. One of the packages changes the /etc/cl.selector/symlinks.rules file, which was found to potentially cause unexpected behavior of the PHP Selector.

How to fix the issue (temporarily)

According to CloudLinux, there are 3 different ways to fix the issue. Please choose ONE of the following methods:

  1. Restore your most recent backup of the /etc/cl.selector/symlinks.rules config file
  2. Delete the /etc/cl.selector/symlinks.rules file.
  3. Remove the php.d.location = selector option from the /etc/cl.selector/symlinks.rules file and then run the following command:
    /usr/bin/selectorctl --apply-symlinks-rules

Please note that this config file does not exist by default.
