More resource headroom for Nuagerie hosting plans

Nuagerie has increased resource headroom for eligible hosting plans. Entry-level plans benefit from additional memory and concurrent processing capacity, while disk throughput and disk-operation allowances have been adjusted across the affected tiers. The changes are active on the hosting platform.

Resources aligned with everyday website needs

A website uses more than disk space. Page generation, content management, image processing and application maintenance also depend on memory, processing capacity and access to stored files. When one of these resources reaches its limit, a task can take longer or an application can struggle even when its storage allowance is sufficient.

These allocations give eligible plans more room for everyday operations, with capacity differentiated by hosting tier. Selected legacy plans also benefit from higher minimum allocations where their existing limits were lower.

A controlled rollout with operational checks

We introduced the changes with an initial group before extending them to the remaining eligible accounts. Recovery information was retained throughout the rollout. Our team compared website responses before and after deployment and checked that the tested PHP pages continued to respond normally.

We also confirmed that the new allocations were active in the running environment. This ensures that the additional headroom is available to affected accounts, beyond simply updating the values shown for their plans.

What this means for your hosting

The changes are applied automatically to the affected plans. Customers retain their existing plan assignments and their commercial allowances for storage, bandwidth, domains, databases and email. No website migration or application configuration change is required to receive the revised resource allocations.

Additional headroom can help accommodate ordinary variations in workload, but application design, caching, database queries and traffic patterns still affect resource use. A recurring bottleneck deserves a review of the particular website and its requirements. Increasing a limit alone does not resolve every source of slow performance.

For a growing site, the practical question is whether routine work fits comfortably alongside visitor activity. A catalogue update, image import or scheduled task can have different resource needs from browsing a page. Nuagerie can help relate the periods of difficulty to the available usage information, then distinguish a capacity decision from an application issue that needs separate attention.

To start a review, use the client area to describe the affected task, when it occurs and any resource-limit message. These details make the discussion more useful than choosing a larger plan on storage size alone. Businesses comparing web hosting plans can also explain their expected traffic and publishing workload so the proposed allocation reflects how the site will be used.
