The DirectAdmin team has announced that they will be changing the default installer for PHP to PHP 7.2 as opposed to PHP 5.6. The option to select version 5.6 will still be available for a while, but it will soon reach its end-of-life. Our servers are automatically updated but if you haven't upgraded already, please make sure to do so now.
The team has also announced that they have changed the default compiler for new DirectAdmin installs in CustomBuild 2.0 to Exim. After continuous testing, the Exim compiler rarely showed any issues, therefore, they decided to switch from the rpms packages. The new OS installer build still supports the rpm/deb packages but it will eventually be removed.
