DirectAdmin version 1.56.0 RC1 has been released
The official release candidate for DirectAdmin 1.56.0 has officially been announced. This update comes with a large number of new features and bug fixes. Since the release candidate comes with so many new features, the DirectAdmin team will use an extended testing period in order to catch as many bugs as possible. The final product is scheduled to be released mid-March.
New Features
- Widgets for Evolution and for Plugins
- Restore: swap old-to-new server IP for custom SPF, Restore previous assigned domain IPs
- Change default crypt to sha-512 (for OSs that support it)
- Plugins ability to run Admin plugin as root (disabled by default)
- Extra info on process memory usage for load notice
- Can push plugin update via task.queue
- SSL: Allow www in common name
- MySQL: new query format for databases/users: ALTER/RENAME/GRANT, etc (MySQL 8.0 requires more changes to this)
- Ability to lock down adding/removing domains at User Level
- PHP Selector now supports 4 PHP versions for the single selector.
- DirectAdmin to drop TLSv1.0/TLSv1.1 support
- Backup: Evolution to add directadmin.conf setting to "Backup/Restore Settings"
- Ability to delete a domain from the task.queue
- Ability to notify Admins on any account creation
- Ability to Admin/Reseller to send to all E-Mails on the box (sent "as" that sending DA account, so send limits apply)
- MX Record templates (eg: one-click for Google MX)
- Rspamd per-User templates
- Packages: easy copy/paste full list between boxes
- Ability to re-classify RoundCube/Squirrelmail data as "E-Mail Accounts" instead of "E-Mail Data", allowing for rsync of E-Mail data, and normal DA backup of accounts+webmail/contacts.

- Reduce User settings if Reseller's settings are lowered
- SSH Keys now allow comment spaces
- Ensure LANG set for unzip/untar in FileManager, regarding UTF-8 paths
- RoundCube logging format change for BruteForce Monitor
- Crons: MAILTO to strip double-quotes: " "
- Better IP validation (security: low)
- X-Forwarded-For: Allow multiple proxy IPs
- Restore: Domain Pointers were not being set to type Alias
