A custom voting application for Quebec Rock Contest

For the 2019 edition of Quebec Rock Contest, Nuagerie developed a custom web voting application. The goal was to provide a simple experience for participants while giving the organizers tools to manage their campaign.

An application focused on participation

The setup presented for that edition allowed Facebook users to vote for the bands they wanted to see participate. The campaign provided for one vote per week until it closed. The application also gave the organizers a way to change the available choices and prepare future events.

The project brought together two uses: participating in a campaign as a member of the public and managing its content as an organizer. A dedicated application can be useful when these needs go beyond a presentation page.

Define the rules before development

For a new interactive campaign, useful requirements include the available choices, participation period, voting rules and organizer access. The handling of personal information and dependencies on an external platform also need consideration before selecting a solution.

Our web application development service can help define that workflow and the administration tools your project requires.

Design the experience for participants and organizers

For an event organizer, the value of a custom application also lies in the everyday campaign work: updating choices, answering participation questions and knowing what should happen when the campaign closes. Defining those tasks early helps keep the participant experience simple while giving staff appropriate control.

When you bring an event or interactive campaign to Nuagerie, describe the audience, participation rules, campaign dates and the reports your team needs. Our developers can help turn those requirements into a participant journey and an administration scope, with external integrations considered as part of the project.
