How to view your shared web hosting server usage

Your account statistics help you understand slowdowns and plan changes to your hosting. They describe resources allocated to your account, not the whole server’s usage or other customers’ activity.

Review the available measurements

  1. Open the correct cPanel service from your Nuagerie Client Area.
  2. Find the resource-usage tool in the metrics section. Depending on the interface, it may be called Resource Usage or CPU and Concurrent Connection Usage.
  3. Review available current and historical data. Select a period matching the slowdown and note the displayed time zone.
  4. Identify any limits reached and compare those times with website symptoms. If the tool is not offered, ask our team what information is available for your service.

Understand the main indicators

  • CPU: computing capacity used by account workloads.
  • Physical memory: memory used by the relevant processes.
  • IO and IOPS: data throughput and the number of input/output operations, where reported.
  • EP and NPROC: indicators related to processes and concurrent workloads. EP is not a count of unique visitors.
  • Limits reached or faults: events indicating that a limit was encountered. The effect depends on the resource involved.

A single spike is not enough to explain a problem. A scheduled task, backup, plugin or increase in requests can change usage. Compare the measurements with the time, errors and functions actually affected.

Choose between optimization and additional capacity

Prepare the website address, affected period, a readable capture of the measurements and recent changes. Explain whether visitors, administration, orders or forms are affected. This helps our team investigate and distinguish an application issue from a resource requirement.

Nuagerie can help assess the hosting side and the points to review with your developer. Cache or application optimization may be useful; sustained growth may also justify a plan with more capacity. Tell us how your website is evolving so the next step reflects your actual use.
