Full email headers contain technical information that helps investigate delays, rejections and suspicious messages. They complement your description of the problem: a screenshot of the sender and subject does not show the full message route.
Keep the right message
Work from the message received in the affected mailbox. An ordinary forward may add new headers without preserving all the original ones. For a delivery failure, also keep the rejection notice and its error code. You do not need to open suspicious links or attachments to collect these details.
Find the headers in your application
- New Outlook: open the message and its additional-actions menu, then use the View options to open message details.
- Classic Outlook for Windows: open the message in a separate window, then choose File and Properties. Copy the Internet headers field.
- Gmail in a browser: open the message and use the additional menu beside Reply, then Show original.
- Mail on Mac: select the message, then choose View, Message and All Headers.
Labels can differ by language and version. The official guides below show the publishers’ options. If a mobile application does not expose the required details, use its web version or a computer.
Give support the information needed
Copy the complete headers and open a request in your Nuagerie Client Area. Include the time and time zone, the expected result and what happened. Explain whether the issue affects one correspondent or several messages.
Headers can contain email addresses, IP addresses and message identifiers. Share them only in the relevant support request, not in a public post or analysis tool. Do not include passwords or unrelated messages. If an original message file is needed, our team can explain how to provide it.
Understand the issue and improve your email setup
Our team can use these details to examine the delivery route and available authentication results. The aim is to distinguish a configuration issue, a recipient rejection or unwanted mail and choose a useful correction. Headers alone cannot guarantee a sender’s identity or rule out fraud.
If problems recur or your team has new collaboration needs, discuss your email environment with Nuagerie. We can review your use, the relevant domains and service options suited to your organization.
