Replacing a web server affects the sites that depend on it. The procedure must suit your control panel, operating system and selected LiteSpeed edition.
Check the environment
- Identify the current web server, panel and supported versions.
- Confirm the license and integration method available for that environment.
- Inventory domains, certificates, rewrite rules, PHP versions and required modules.
- Retain the current configuration and a recoverable backup before changing anything.
Select the correct procedure
LiteSpeed publishes methods for standalone installations and different panels. Use its current documentation rather than an old archive or a script obtained over HTTP. Integration tools may manage the switch; do not independently disable the existing web service without understanding that process.
Plan a maintenance window, recovery access and a rollback method. Compatibility with an Apache configuration needs verification against your applications, rather than an assumption based on the product name.
Verify the switch
Check HTTPS, redirects, forms, downloads, sessions and PHP applications. Review logs and monitoring as well. Restrict server administration to authorized people and networks.
A shared-hosting account does not grant authority to install the web server. For a Nuagerie service, contact our team to define the appropriate work.
