A hosting plan provides several distinct types of capacity. Available disk space does not mean that every resource is unlimited. To understand a warning or prepare for website growth, identify the relevant measurement and the conditions that apply to your service.
Check the correct service information
Review your service in the Nuagerie Client Area, then the corresponding cPanel account statistics where available. Current hosting offers help compare options but do not replace the confirmed specifications of your subscription. An old plan name, article or manufacturer’s default value cannot establish your allocations.
If a limit is missing or differs between two screens, send its label and a screenshot to support. Available tools depend on configuration. The cPanel interface documentation explains the statistics. An “unlimited” label for one field does not remove other resource limits or usage conditions.
Distinguish the measurements
- Storage: space occupied by account data. Files, email and databases can contribute to the displayed usage. The number of files and directories, or inodes, is a separate measurement.
- Data transfer: the volume exchanged over a period. This is neither a visitor’s connection speed nor the available computing power.
- CPU and memory: resources used by processing workloads. An application can lack computing capacity even when little storage is occupied.
- IO, IOPS, EP and NPROC: indicators of disk activity and processes. Interpretation depends on the platform; EP is not a count of unique visitors.
- Features: also check domain and mailbox allowances, supported software and available options. A limit within an application may differ from the account limit.
Our guide to viewing resource usage helps interpret measurements. The CloudLinux definitions provide technical context, but do not establish your Nuagerie plan’s quotas.
Respond without making the problem worse
Record the period, time zone, message and affected action. Compare history with recent changes. An almost-full account can prevent writes and complicate backup creation; cPanel explains these effects in its Disk Usage guide. Reported figures may also lag behind recent changes.
Do not randomly delete mail, databases or backups to free space. Identify what can be archived and retain a verified copy before an authorized deletion. For slow performance, investigate causes with your developer or our team before concluding that you need a different plan.
Choose suitable capacity
