Cloud and infrastructure: Your infrastructure. Ready for what’s next.

Nuagerie designs and manages cloud infrastructure for businesses and developers, in their environment or ours. Engagements can cover compute, data, networks, availability and monitoring.

How we work together

Three ways to move forward together.

Your existing cloud, managed

Keep your environment and provider accounts. We take on management, clarify access and organize ongoing care.

A turnkey environment

Let us design, set up and fully manage an environment built around your applications.

A focused project

Migration, optimization or a new service: get help where your infrastructure needs to evolve.

Applications and compute

A stable foundation for your applications.

Give your websites, software and services the resources they need. We choose an architecture suited to how they work and how they will evolve.

  • Servers and application services sized for your workload
  • Clearly separated development and production environments
  • Organized deployments and resources matched to usage

Data and caching

Your data in the right place. Your services connected.

A database, a cache and application storage solve different problems. We bring them together to support your application without unnecessary complexity.

  • Databases, storage and caching suited to your application
  • Access and connections organized around your data
  • Choices that reflect performance and consistency requirements

Networks and access

Connect what needs connecting. Keep access in control.

Your users, applications and services need the right paths to communicate. We organize the network and its protections around how they are used.

  • A clear separation between public services and internal resources
  • Web traffic protection that complements application security
  • Better control of access, domain names and traffic

Availability and operations

Plan for continuity. Keep a clear view.

Understand what is happening in your environment and prepare your next steps. We organize monitoring, changes and recovery scenarios.

  • Redundant services and recovery planned around your priorities
  • Useful indicators and alerts to guide the response
  • Capacity, costs and points of failure reviewed over time

Tools that serve the project

Your cloud, our expertise.

We manage your existing cloud environment or help you choose a platform that fits your applications, budget and data-location requirements.

  • Amazon Web Services
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud
  • DigitalOcean
  • OVHcloud
  • Cloudflare

A closer look

Architecture, clearly explained.

A few reference points for discussing technologies and their roles. The solution starts with your needs, not a prescribed list of tools.

How do you choose compute resources and containers?

We start with how your application works, its workload and how it will be operated.

  • Virtual machines and compute: Virtual machines (VMs) and compute services provide the resources needed by systems and applications.
  • Containers: Docker and Podman run applications in containers. Kubernetes orchestrates containerized workloads when the project’s complexity justifies it; it does not guarantee high availability on its own.
  • Microservices: We organize communication, dependencies and deployments when a microservices architecture suits the project.
How do databases, caches and KV storage differ?

These services are not interchangeable. The choice depends on queries, volume, data consistency and the features your application uses.

  • Databases: SQLite is embedded in the application; MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL run as database servers. D1 is Cloudflare’s managed service built on SQLite, with its own limits and access methods.
  • Caches and key-value storage: Redis and Valkey support caching and other application uses. Compatibility depends on versions, commands and modules. Workers KV is distributed, eventually consistent key-value storage, not a direct replacement for Redis or Valkey or a transactional coordination service.
  • Connections: Hyperdrive accelerates access to an existing database through connection pooling, with configurable query caching. It is not a database; engines, drivers and features must be compatible.
How do you structure networks and protect access?

We distinguish public-facing services from resources that should be accessible only to authorized systems and people.

  • Private networks: Virtual private clouds (VPCs), private subnets, traffic filtering rules and VPNs connect components using the provider’s available capabilities. A VPN can also connect your offices or local storage to the cloud, depending on your needs.
  • Service access: DNS, TLS certificates and load balancing direct connections to the right services. Access rights and secrets are managed with the selected tools.
  • Web protection: A web application firewall (WAF) can filter certain malicious requests. It complements patching and application security rather than replacing them.
What does a high-availability architecture cover?

It aims to limit interruptions caused by failures anticipated in its design. Its scope reflects your priorities and available budget.

  • Resilience: Redundancy, health checks and failover mechanisms are defined for the relevant components. Dependencies and failure scenarios also need assessment.
  • Limits: High availability is not a guarantee of uninterrupted service. An update, incident or failure outside its design can still affect service.
  • Backup and recovery: Replication and high availability do not replace backups. Copies, retention, restoration and recovery objectives are defined separately.
How do you track operations and costs?

We select information that helps explain the environment and guide action, rather than accumulating alerts without context.

  • Observability: Monitoring, logs, metrics and alerting provide visibility into service health. Their destinations, access and retention periods are defined.
  • Capacity and costs: Resource usage and provider spending help identify limits, overprovisioning and opportunities for optimization.
  • Response: Alert recipients, responsibilities and response arrangements are set out in the management scope.
How do migration and automation work?

We prepare dependencies, access and checks before changing the environment. Cutover is planned with a rollback path where one is possible.

  • Migration: An inventory, testing, data transfers and post-cutover checks give the change a clear structure. Anticipated interruptions are discussed beforehand.
  • Infrastructure as code: Versioned configurations and CI/CD processes can make infrastructure changes reproducible, with appropriate checks and access controls.
  • Application responsibilities: Nuagerie handles the infrastructure and agreed automation. Business logic, features and application maintenance are covered by a separate engagement, with your team or Nuagiciel.
Can you take over our existing cloud environment?

Yes. You keep your environment and provider accounts; we take on management, clarify access and organize ongoing care. We can also help you choose a platform that fits your applications, budget and data-location requirements.

A clear process

Understand. Plan. Follow through.

  1. Take stock

Applications, dependencies, access, constraints and priorities: we start with your actual situation.

  2. Build the plan

Architecture, steps, checks and responsibilities are defined before setup or migration.

  3. Organize ongoing care

Documentation, monitoring and planned improvements give daily management a clear framework.

Each engagement is quoted separately. The proposal sets out provider services, licences, setup, recurring management and response arrangements.

Does your project also need custom development or integrations? Nuagiciel handles the application work, in coordination with the infrastructure.
