Local and hybrid storage: Your NAS. Well looked after.
Existing equipment or a new project: together, we organize storage, access and the management you want our team to handle as part of your IT services.
Local and hybrid storage
Your files, close at hand. Management that goes further.
Office file sharing, storage at another site or backups of compatible cloud data: we configure and manage your NAS for its intended role within your IT environment.
- New equipment or an existing setup
- Files, access and copies organized with you
Solutions to assess for your equipment
Turnkey NAS
- Synology
- QNAP
For a custom-built NAS
- TrueNAS
- Unraid
Two stages, a clear scope
Start with the right setup. Stay in control.
Initial setup and recurring management meet different needs. File shares, connections between sites and eligible backups are defined around the equipment, tools and data to be covered.
Initial setup
A foundation that fits your team.
We begin with your existing environment and the work it needs to support, before recommending hardware or moving data.
- Assessment of hardware, network, capacity and usage
- Organization of accounts, permissions and shared folders
- Planned migration, verification and configuration documentation
Recurring management
Oversight that evolves with your needs.
We organize storage administration and follow-up over time, with responsibilities and tasks defined in the engagement.
- Updates and changes to accounts and shares
- Disk health, capacity and alert monitoring
- Management of agreed backups and planned restoration tests
Your proposal separates initial setup, recurring management, hardware, licences, external backup capacity and on-site work according to your needs.
Prepare for recovery
Storage brings files together. Backup gives you another copy.
A NAS can hold your working files or receive backups from another system. We define its role and the independent copies needed, on site, off site or in the cloud, as part of your recovery strategy.
Versions you can return to
Snapshots can help recover an earlier state when the platform and configuration support them.
A copy outside the equipment
An independent external backup complements local storage. Its destination, access and retention are defined for your environment.
Recovery you can check
We agree on the data and recovery procedures to test. Frequency and objectives are specified in the engagement.
Before choosing
NAS management FAQ.
Can you take over management of our current NAS?
Yes, after an assessment. We can review a new or existing Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS or Unraid environment, whether it is a turnkey NAS or a custom-built system. The model, operating-system version, disk health, licences and network configuration determine what we can manage. Any necessary adjustments are identified before the handover.
Can it also back up cloud data?
Yes, for some data. A compatible NAS can be a local backup destination for selected Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data. We check supported services and data types, the NAS model, licences and the backup tool. Coverage and restoration tests are agreed before setup.
Do RAID or snapshots replace a backup?
No. They address some incidents, but do not provide an independent copy outside the equipment. We define external backups and restoration tests according to the data, risks and capabilities of the platform.
How are pricing and support terms defined?
We prepare a proposal based on the number and condition of devices, the data and the services requested. It specifies initial setup, recurring management and any hardware, licence, external storage or travel costs, along with the agreed support and recovery arrangements.
